‘The real’ Spice Girls to be shown on BBC show
The BBC’s forthcoming documentary on the Spice Girls is set to be “explosive”, it has been revealed, with the popstars just as likely to be seen moaning and arguing as they are singing.
According to sources on the inside of the 90-minue special, entitled Spice Girls: Giving You Everything, the show will touch upon the rumours and in-fighting which have plagued the group over the years.
Simon Fuller, who has served as manager to Geri, Victoria, Mel B, Emma and Mel C, wants to give a ‘true account’ of the Spice Girls through the show and has told them that it is unlikely that any moaning or arguing captured on film will be edited out.
“He’s told the girls the editing will be very light and no topic is off limits,” a source told the Daily Mirror.
“The eating disorders, the fisticuffs, the bitchiness – it will all be there
“Geri in particular is keen to get a few things off her chest about how she felt she was bullied and pressured.”
Just last week the girls were forced to defend their decision to lip-synch to their music at their eagerly-anticipated comeback gig at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
