Big Brother Day 42 – Luke’s Birthday Hopes
Luke claims it would be an “insult” if Big Brother didn’t mark his birthday.
The politics student – who is celebrating his 21st birthday today and is currently living in the Hell side of the house along with Lisa, Belinda, Rebecca, Stuart, Mikey and Sara- told the rest of the house he was concerned he might not get a birthday party because he is living in the Hell portion.
He said “If they didn’t do anything I’d go in there and say, ‘I’m ill, you haven’t celebrated my birthday, what am I doing here?’ They haven’t respected my birthday. It’s an insult. An absolute insult.”
Getting more worried, he added “If they said, ‘Happy birthday Luke, Heaven is going to celebrate for you’ I don’t know how I’d cope with that.”
Earlier, he was treated to a birthday breakfast in the Diary Room.
Big Brother took pity on him because he has been ill and was struggling to make himself breakfast.
Luke attempted to fry an egg, but couldn’t get it right even with help from chef Rex.
Watching Luke’s efforts, Rex laughed: “Luke, do you think you can put a pan of boiling water on without burning it?”
When his second attempt was equally as bad, Big Brother called him to the Diary Room for a hot breakfast of chicken soup, crackers and coffee.
Luke said “Thanks Big Brother. I’m pleased I’m in the House for my birthday but, what with the task and not being well, it’s not that good.”
