Sex and the City 2 is GO!
The way they’re currently going, New Line are in increasing danger of receiving a friendly knock on the door from their local RSPCA.
Proving they can continue to milk a cow (or 4 of them) even if it’s haggard, dilapidated and straggling along at the back of the herd, the studio has announced that – SHOCK HORROR – the hugely successful $415 million grossing Sex and the City movie is getting a sequel.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and (this is the one to blame) writer/director Michael Patrick King have all signed on for the project, and while no start date has been set or script announced, we’re thinking the back-up beeps of the dumpertrucks filled with cash should probably be enough to spark them into gear.
We’ll gladly welcome the new adventures of our favourite MILF-tastic quartet, but what with the story technically having ended twice (both the original TV series and the encore first movie seemed to wrap things up nicely), we’re just not sure there’s much story left to tell.
