Jack Black & Michael Cera Unite in The Year One
Close your eyes. Imagine Michael Cera, in a loincloth, painted gold. Now try and tell me you’re not excited.
No, he’s not recreating a scene a scene from Goldfinger, it’s for his new film, Year One, and the trailer has just been released . Cera stars alongside Jack Black in what looks to be one of the most hilarious comedy pairings of all time.
The terrific twosome play Neaderthal nobody’s who, shunned by their village, decide to embark on the world’s first ever road trip, err, on foot. (Apparently the early inventors were still putting the finishing touches on the wheel).
The balance of Cera’s stumbling shyness and Black’s brazen banter looks sure to win over audiences everywhere. And the supporting cast don’t sound bad either: the film reunites Paul Rudd and Christopher Mintz-Plasse after their hilarious efforts in Role Models as well as featuring Hank Azaria and…Vinnie Jones?!
June 19th can’t come around quick enough.
