Cor, blimey Guvnor! We’ve just been on the blower to Babs Windsor, and would you Adam and Eve it, today is the opening of the East End Film Festival – sure to have you organising a knees up and exclaiming “I’m a cockney, I’m a cockney!” louder than the green, Polo-eyed Hitcher from The Mighty Boosh.

The opening ceremony sees the World Premiere of Nicola Collins’ The End – a documentary about real East End gangsters like Victor Dark, Bobby “The Guvnor” Reading and “Pretty Boy” Roy Shaw . Lucky for you guys, we were able to catch a sneak preview of it at last year’s Raindance Film Festival so look out for our upcoming review.

Our other featured movie City Rats has it’s European Premiere at the event, followed by a Q+A with Director and Cast (Yes, Danny Dyer will be there!) this Friday April 24th at 8pm.

The festival runs until Thursday 30th April. Check out www.eastendfilmfestival.com for tickets and information.
