The web is alive with people being ‘unfazed’ at the news that three actors from The Lord of the Rings trilogy are to reprise their roles in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming movie of The Hobbit.

According to several sources, Sir Ian McKellen has signed up to to once again play aged yet nimble wizard Gandalf and Andy Serkis will once again creep people out to the max with his creeping, crawling CGI Gollum.

Chatting with Simon Mayo on Radio 5 Live, the director also revealed that Hugo Weaving, who played Elrond in part two of the Rings trilogy, is now also officially signed up.

But it appears fingers are really poised over keyboards in anticipation of the announcement of Bilbo, which should come within the not too distant future.
