Sandra Bullock has revealed that she’s sick of Romantic Comedies. After featuring in a veritable bucketload of the genre’s films including While You Were Sleeping, Miss Congeniality and Two Weeks Notice, Bullock told USA Today, “They’re not funny, they’re not romantic, and they’re not written well for women anymore.

“It was basically all crap. I did the last good one. I’m done.” Celebratory parades are planned for the week of July. Watch this space.

She could have paid attention to what everyone was saying years ago and saved us the agony. It seems her last Romantic Comedy will be The Proposal with X-Men Origins: Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds, which she admitted she turned down several times before accepting.

She said: “Finally, someone said, ‘Look, you can’t say no if you haven’t read it. Just read it, and then we can pass’. Surprisingly, it piqued my interest.”

“Being nice and adorable isn’t funny. I enjoyed being a b*tch. Everyone does. They are always better written and it’s a relief.”
