Inglourious Basterds Tweets Its Way To The Top
Quentin Tarantino’s new film Inglourious Basterds“> has gone straight to the top of the UK box office charts – and it could all be down to Twitter.
Despite very mixed reviews the movie pulled in £3.5million in its first weekend to knock last weeks chart leader The Time Traveller’s Wife into second place.
However according to The Guardian, analytics provider Crimson Hexagon revealed that 78 per cent of those who commented on Twitter gave positive feedback, helping to attract more cinema-goers.
Of course the fact that Quentin Tarantino has 352,415 followers on Twitter probably helped to a certain degree.
The question on everybody’s lips is whether the studios will soon be creating warehouses of tweeting drones in a dastardly plan to manipulate the Internet buzz?
