Rambo 5 has received the greenlight from film bosses after months of negotiations.

After earlier denying that he will reprise the role, Sylvester Stallone is confirmed to both write and star in the next installment.

The film is set to be released in 2011, when Sly has reached the grand old age of 65.

Despite rumours that the plot will centre around the doddery veteran rescuing a group of stranded OAPs from Brighton, it has been confirmed that Rambo will be thwarting human-traffickers at the Mexican border.

Maybe Lionsgate should have pitted him against some political protagonist of his generation like Colonel Gadaffi or Fidel Castro.

Has there ever been a Hollywood finale which included a Zimmer frame battle?

At OTB we have strong suspicions that Rambo may be using some age-fighting products. Check out our take down of this Just For Men advert.
