George Clooney Dominates London Film Festival Line-up
London film festival organisers have tried to guarantee that George Clooney will turn up at some stage of the two-week event by featuring three of his films in the line-up.
Fantastic Mr Fox, The Men Who Stare at Goats and Up In The Air have all been given leading roles, as bosses attempt to bring the festival closer to its prestigious rivals in Venice and Cannes.
We suppose one of those films doesn’t really count as proper acting as Clooney only provided the voice for Mr Fox, but the ex-ER star was not the only one to jump on the lazy train, as some of the film’s other cast members including, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and Helen McCrory are also scheduled to appear in the capital.
Nowhere Boy, the story of a young John Lennon will be shown on the closing night and some other notable features include White Ribbon and A Prophet, both of wish won prizes at Cannes.
George Clooney’s representatives have refused to confirm that unless he wins a prize he will not return.
Meryl Streep has had a busy year. Check out what we thought of her latest film Julia & Julie
