As if the old school zombies weren’t scary enough, now we’re gonna see them in 3D.

A ‘re-imagining’ of George A. Romero’s classic 1968 zombie film Night Of The Living Dead is being created as an origins story.

The new movie will be directed by newcomer Zebediah de Soto who will use state of the art CGI and 3D technology to bring Romero’s character’s to life and explore their backstories.

Maybe we’ll get conclusive reasons as to why the world suddenly turned into the undead. Nuclear power? Communists? Who knows.

De Soto claims he wants to make ‘an American-style anime.’

At this stage it looks like Romero won’t actually be involved in the project but we’re OK with that since he’s made 7 zombies movies. Maybe try a romcom for once George.
