Jurassic Park 4 To Go In ‘New’ Direction

jurassic_park1Surely we can be forgiven for groaning at the prospect of another Jurassic Park film, The Lost World wasn’t great and the less said about JP3 the better. (Oh so there’s a new dinosaur…)

But at least makers of the new film have realised that writing a story in which people go back to that godforsaken island is just a little bit tenuous – any normal person would rather have a picnic on the M1 than spend a minute on Isla Nublar (or wherever).

Fortunately the writers seem to have worked this out and director Joe Johnston explained that he would be taking the franchise into new territory.

“There is a great story for the fourth one that I would be interested in getting involved with and it’s nothing like the first three, it sort of takes the franchise off in a completely different direction, which is the only way I would want to get involved”.

“Why would anybody go back to that island? It was hard enough to figure out the second and third reason for them to go, but the new movie would take the series off into a whole other trilogy basically,” said the film-maker.

That all sounds great until you hear that an earlier script allegedly had the government genetically recreating dinosaurs and ‘training’ them to carry weapons…
