Spacey, Albarn, Mos Def Sign On For ‘Buskers’

Well this is an odd line-up.

Damon Albarn (he of Blur, Gorillaz fame), Mos Def (he of Mos Def rapping/Mos Def Be Kind Rewind fame) and Kevin Spacey (he of The Usual Suspects and walking in parks at 4am fame) are teaming up for a movie adaptation of the graphic novel Buskers.

HeyuGuys are reporting that one of the book’s co-writers Jeymes Samuel will also act as director on the comic, which was also written with Sean Michael Wilson and artist Michiru Morikawa.

The movie tells the story of a high-paid banker (we’re guessing Spacey) who becomes unemployed and retreats to the happy clappy underworld of London’s buskers (we’re going with Albarn and Mos Def).

We’re starting lobbying right here for a Steve Brookstein cameo.

StumbleUpon It!
