peterjackson_narrowweb__300x421,0Filming and editing may have finished on the new Tintin film, but it’s going to be another couple of years before we get our 3D goggles around the finished movie itself.

Any film directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson should be worth waiting for though…

The LOTR man told the BBC that although an initial version exists, it would take another two years to complete the computer animation on the motion capture 3D movie.

“Tintin is great. It’s made. The movie is cut together and now we are turning it into a fully-rendered film,” Jackson explained. “So the movie, to some degree, exists in a very rough state.”

Although he seems to be a fan of the new format, the film-maker added that the 3D image could be “a little dull”.

“It does feel like you’re looking at the movie with sunglasses on. But literally, that could just be about getting brighter bulbs in the projectors,” he said.
