Twilight: Fans Banned From Kissing Pattinson Poster
When it comes to mental Twi-hard behaviour, we thought we’d seen everything – apparently not.
According to The Sunday Telegraph, workers at Reel cinema in Crewe have banned people from kissing a cut-out of Robert Pattinson, star of New Moon.
A life-size image of the actor has been attracting the attentions of hundreds of teenage girls, who have been queuing up to get a picture with ‘him’.
There is now a sign on the good-looking piece of corregated cardboard which reads: “Please help reduce the spread of germs by refraining from giving Edward, or any other character for that matter, a kiss or a hug.”
Reel Cinemas managing director Kailash Suri said that the film had been sold out for the first week and explained how enthusiastic some girls (and boys) had been with the promotional cut-out.
“The girls were coming in and having their pictures taken. They were getting a bit carried away and in the nicest possible way we said, ‘Don’t kiss him’.”
