Tim Roth Smash! (again)

timrothTim Roth has said that he’d be willing to return for a sequel to 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.

Roth said that he has spoken to Marvel about possibly reprising the role of villain Emil Blonsky/The Abomination in an MTV interview.

“I don’t know if they want to bring [Blonsky] back, but I told them I’m absolutely game for it. It would be so much fun to do it again. I’m in it for three,” he said.

He went on to say “I had the best time ever with that one – more fun on set than anybody. I did it purely for my kids, so my boys can laugh at their dad and have fun with it.”

Marvel haven’t had the best of luck with the Hulk franchise. The first Ang Lee directed attempt was too cerebral with too little action and Ed Norton’s reboot went too far in the opposite direction; too much car tossing and not enough “agonising about wanting to be normal”.

A sequel hasn’t been announced yet but as Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) appears at the end of the movie, I think it’s fairly safe to say that we’ll be seeing the big green lunk again.
