BaftaToday BAFTA released the nominees for the Orange Rising Star award which is voted for by the general public.

Last year’s winner Noel Clarke, writer and star of Kidulthood and Adulthood, announced who this year’s lucky few are.

Zombieland’s Jesse Eisenberg and Twilight’s Kristen Stewart represent the US while the upcoming A Prophet’s Tahar Rahim waves the flag for the French.

An Education’s
Carey Mulligan and Skin’s Nicholas Hoult do us Brits proud. We were kind of hoping that Nowhere Boy’s Aaron Johnson would also be in the running, but hey, you can’t win ’em all.

You might not think Hoult has been up to much since his stint in Skins but he’ll be appearing in the upcoming A Single Man with Colin Firth and Clash Of The Titans. Not bad.

You can vote for your favourite by checking out the official BAFTA Rising Star site.
