New Conan The Barbarian, Finally
So in our future we’ve got those eyes, a hot body (trust me, I’ve been oogling, I mean Googling him all morning) and loincloths. Doesn’t get better than that.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Jason, star of Stargate: Atlantis, reportedly beat out Twilight’s Kellan Lutz and Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki for the role.
Marcus Nispel, director of Pathfinder, will be directing the upcoming film which will begin shooting in Bulgaria in March after production delays dating back to 2002. We guess good things come to those who wait.
To be fair, we weren’t too excited about the production of a new Conan the Barbarian movie, we were happy with Arnie’s oh so cheesy 1982 version, but when we saw Jason, we could suddenly see it’s appeal. The new film is set to have plenty of fantasy based sword swinging, heroic action and if Pathfinder’s bloody Viking action is anything to go by, this should be a good time all round.
