billpaxtonDennis Quaid has had to drop out of the latest Steven Soderbergh film Knockout because of scheduling issues with Soul Surfer directed by…um…Kevin Sorbo (yes, TV’s glistening blond man nugget Hercules). Soderbergh is reportedly courting Bill Paxton to replace him.

Knockout will star mixed martial artist Gina Carano as a black ops soldier on the run after she’s double crossed – a strikingly original premise then. If Paxton signs up, he’ll play her father.

The film is already rumoured to feature more cast members than you can shake a stick at: Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas, Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum,, Michael Fassbender, Michael Angaro, an animated desk lamp and the kitchen sink.

Filming begins next week, so Paxton had better get his skates on.

I’m thinking that Kevin Sorbo isn’t blond; and also not directing Soul Surfer. Furthermore that most of the cast for Knockout is still not confirmed. But carry on… I’m sure eventually, by sheer mathematic probability, you will have to come up with some real, accurate news.
