kristen-stewartThe upcoming movie The Runaways, mainly based on the experiences of band members Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, recently gained cool points from the real life Jett.

She praised Twilight’s Kristen Stewart who’s playing her in the movie, saying how odd it was that they looked so alike.

Speaking to MTV News Jett said, “It was amazing. It was surreal. The first time I met her, her hair was still long. Then after she finished New Moon, she got it cut and I saw her out in LA for some rehearsals and it was really incredible. We were both laughing a lot because it’s surreal.”

The real Cherie Currie had a few good words about Stewart and her own movie counterpart Dakota Fanning, “I think they’re incredibly down to earth. I’m really proud to know them.”

Currie also seemed a little freaked out about the movie but in a good way, “It was too much for me to handle, to be honest with you. For the first time, I got to see what it was like to be in an audience and look at the Runaways. It was that right-on. This is all so surreal! I went to sleep, woke up in this amazing dream, and I can’t wake up. I don’t want to wake up. And guess what? I don’t have to!”

    Stewart is NOT.
My God, awful, awful, awful casting.
Just because you look like someone does not make you a good choice to play them!
