damonggIt has been revealed that Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass are in discussions over a new movie which will concentrate on the financial meltdown of 2008.

We know what you’re thinking. Jason Bourne is going to be tearing into those greedy *ankers in an attempt to recover the public funds that we all pumped into those bloated institutions 18 months ago.

Sadly that seems a remote possibility.

The pair recently collaborated to produce war drama Green Zone, which hits cinemas today.

“What we have been talking about is a movie about the economic meltdown, and trying to figure out what the way in is,” Greengrass told Collider. “I love making these movies with him, and they give us… and we’re making them for pretty good budget so we can kind of tell it on a bigger scale.”

Damon added that he is prepared to follow Greengrass “pretty much anywhere” to continue their working relationship.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to keep making big stories, but I’ll kind of go anywhere he wants to go,” he said. “I think he’s a great director and I learn a tonne, every time I work with him, about directing and about acting.”
