No Love For Pattinson

As the apple in every teen girl’s eye all over the world, Robert Pattinson being suggested for the role of Kurt Cobain in a biopic was a debatable one. And, to throw a significant spanner in the works, Courtney Love – wife and mother to the rocker’s child – has spoken out against the appointment.

“I watched the Twilight stuff very, very recently and I get it, it resonates with the teenaged girl in me, I understand epic love of that nature; I write about it all the time. But isn’t that silly?”

Indeed, it would be arguably very hard for such a clean cut figure to depict the gritty and sad life of a drug-addicted musician. “Isn’t it stupid, who would cast him?” Love told US Magazine. As someone who is in a position to approve or deny casting for the Cobain biopic, Courtney Love would reportedly prefer Ryan Gosling or James McAvoy.

Whoever is picked, they’re some big shoes to fill. Good luck.
