Christoph Waltz Cast As Three Musketeers Villain
The milk-loving Austrian has been cast as Cardinal Richelieu in Paul WS Anderson’s forthcoming 3D version of The Three Musketeers and the actor is already signed on to play the Green Hornet’s arch-nemesis in Michel Gondry’s movie.
Waltz forms the final piece in the puzzle for studio bosses who have nailed down Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson…) as D’Artagnan, the young man who leaves home with the to join the king of France’s personal guard in Alexandre Dumas’s classic 17th century-set adventure which is due to start filming in September.
The musketeers themselves, Aramis, Porthos and Athos will be played by Matthew McFayden (Robin Hood), Ray Stevenson (Book of Eli) and Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans).
Danish ex-Bond villain Mads Mikkelson will be playing Rochefort and femme fatale Milady De Winter will be played Anderson’s wife, Milla Jovovich.
