Josh Holloway Joins Cast Of M:I 4
Lost star Josh Holloway has signed up to play a member of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible Force in the fourth instalment of the movie franchise. His inclusion in the film marks his first attempt at a studio movie, having had to stay away from big blockbusters in the past due to scheduling conflicts with TV series Lost.
The actor spent six years playing anti-hero Sawyer in the show, which was created by Mission: Impossible 4 producer J. J. Abrams, so Holloway should feel right at home on the production, despite it being a far cry from the indie flicks he’s been in before.
The cast of the upcoming Paramount film also includes newcomers Vladimir Mashkov, Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton, as well as franchise veterans Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg. M:I 4 is expected to film in Vancouver, Prague and Dubai, starting this autumn and aiming for a December 2011 release. Teeny tiny Tom Cruise will of course be back as star and producer of the movie, with The Incredibles director Brad Bird at the helm of the project.
