Harry Potter Leaked Online
There are serious goings-on at Hogwarts: it looks like some dastardly wizard has managed to pilfer the first 36 minutes of Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows: Part One and distribute it across the net.
Warner Bros released a statement emphasising that they are “vigorously investigating” how the film came to be leaked, especially since the versions available online are watermarked suggesting it belongs to someone connected with the film and/or the studio. The footage has been available online for the past 48 hours.
The statement read: “Last night, a portion of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part One was stolen and illegally posted on the internet. This constitutes a serious breach of copyright violation and theft of Warner Bros property.
“We are working actively to restrict and/or remove copies that may be available.”
The statement concluded: “Also, we are vigorously investigating this matter and will prosecute those involved to the full extent of the law.”
Fans of illegal downloading will have to wait patiently for the full movie to be uploaded online but don’t hold your breath – Warner have their mignons out in droves trying to track down the copies in order to remove them.
