Orlando Bloom To Play Legolas Again
Now that Peter Jackson has agreed to direct the movie after having concerns that he would not be able to recreate the greatness he achieved with The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, the original cast are starting to look interested in returning to Middle Earth.
Yesterday Cate Blanchett’s return as Galadriel was confirmed, and talks are still going ahead with Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis and Hugo Weaving over their characters Gandalf, Gollum and Elrond respectively.
The Troy and Pirates of The Caribbean star shot to fame playing the bow-and-arrow wielding elf, and as The Hobbit greatly involves Legolas’ father, Thranduil, rumour has it that the British actor will feature as far more than just a cameo. Former Dr Who actor David Tennant is rumoured to be considering the role of Thranduil.
Bloom is married to stunning lingerie model Miranda Kerr.
