Aaron-Eckhart-Traveling300Battle: Los Angeles and The Dark Knight star Aaron Eckhart has said that to release any details about forthcoming The Dark Knight Rises would be ‘career suicide’.

When pressed to reveal if he would be in the next film by Indiewire, the actor – who played Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight – refused to reveal whether or not he was involved.

“How can I possibly answer that question?” he said. “That would be career suicide.”

“I won’t say that. But I will say Harvey Dent is dead.”

This comes shortly after Eckhart’s appearance on CBS News, where he hinted that he might not be finished as part of the Batman series.

With the interviewer trying to establish that he wouldn’t being appearing in the new film, Eckhart simply answered, “I’m not?”

Very well done, Aaron. It seems that some of Harvey Dent’s political skills have rubbed off on you. Let’s hope you haven’t learned anything from the other side of his personality…
