Matthew Lillard Finds Trouble With The Curve
Matthew Lillard is the latest name to be in consideration for baseball drama The Trouble With The Curve. The directorial debut of Clint Eastwood’s producing partner Robert Lorentz, Curve will see Clint play an ageing baseball scout who’s losing his vision. Determined to make one last scouting trip, he travels to Atlanta with his daughter (Amy Adams) in the hopes they’ll rekindle their ailing relationship.
Lillard might not be a household name (you might recognise him as Shaggy from Scooby-Do) but he’s been picking up acclaim for his role in Alexander Payne/George Clooney film The Descendants so he’s definitely on the rise. The Wrap reports that he’ll be playing a rival scout.
Also stepping up to the plate is a young unknown called Joe Massingill. A quick glance at IMDB reveals that he’s not been in any features yet but he was in an episode of Glee as Jock #1. Bit of a step up then…
