J-Lo Gets Back to Business
Jennifer Lopez has returned to ‘work’ for the first time since her twins were born in February. ‘Work’ of course means having her photo taken in designer frocks and being bizillions of dollars for it.
The more b*tchy commentators have made a point to note that while she may have lost MOST of the three stone that she put on during her pregnancy, she still struggled to zip up her Oscar de la Renta dress. Of course, she did just have twins, so if any of those ‘commentators’ can fit into their size zeroes four months after popping two giant new people from their bellies then they can say whatever they like. Since they probably haven’t then they should maybe just ssshhhh up.
On the other hand, looks like J-Lo has gone back to her old Diva habits by insisting that the twins Max and Emme never wear the same outfits twice, ever in their lives. We hope she sends on the second hand Dolce and Marc Jacobs to starving African children so the money isn’t, you know, wasted.
Lopez will be returning to work this year on several films- Love and Other Impossible Pursuits and The Governess.
Nicole Kidman has her baby and gives it a silly name
Nicole Kidman and her other half, Keith Urban, have given birth to a baby girl. Yesterday, the couple welcomed their new addition in Nashville, Tenesse. Urban was at Kidman’s side when the teeny 6 pound, 7 ounce baby Sheila was born.
And, in true celebrity form, the couple have given their daughter a pretty silly name – Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.
Indeed, sounding rather like the meal you sit down to at the end of the week may cause problems for little Sunday Roast later in life, who is frankly going to be stuck with jokes revolving around potatoes and gravy for the rest of her days.
I think we can all see what happened here. Obviously, Kidman was craving a bit of Yorkshire pud on the Sunday but subsequently went into labour, which lasted until Monday. In a feverish state of hunger all she could think of when the nurse handed her her new daughter was the meal she missed, thus exclaiming “Sunday Roast!” – Lesson: never give birth on an empty stomach.
Jude Law and Lily Cole – are they or aren’t they?
Rumour has it that international supermodel, Lily Cole, and drippy actor Jude Law are an item. The pair have been spotted in each other’s arms a number of times over the last couple of weeks.
Law, 35, who is fifteen years Cole’s senior, was initially seen escorting the flaming beauty to a Radiohead concert in Victoria Park where they enjoyed a summer evening together listening to the highly acclaimed band. At a later date, they apparently went to the theatre and spotted looking cosy over dinner in Covent Garden and Cole was photographed leaving Law’s flat the next afternoon.
According to the Sunday Mirror, a source commented, “Jude was keeping low-key. They were deep in conversation and making each other laugh…There was no blatant kissing but it was obvious they were more than just friends. Jude was being very affectionate and gazing into her eyes.”
Christina Applegate’s Boyfriend Found Dead

No autopsy has been conducted but it is thought that he died of a heroin overdose.
Applegate, 36, released a statment to the press saying that she was ‘profoundly saddened’ by his death.
“Lee was an incredible human being who was an extremely important and beautiful part of my life.
“He is missed beyond words.”
Applegate and Grivas started dating after her divorce to Jonathan Schaech, although The National Enquirer reports that their relationship was turbulant as Grivas continually battled with drugs and alcohol.

George Clooney’s Love Split
George Clooney and girlfriend Sarah Larson have broken up according to People magazine. The couple met four years ago in Las Vegas when Larson was a VIP cocktail waitress at The Whiskey Bar where Clooney and friends were having a drink.
“We were hanging out and dancing and being goofballs. Nothing crazy. We talked, that’s it.” Larson told Harpers Bazaar in an interview from this month’s issue.
Larson, who is 29 years old, is from Kent, Washington, and prior to meeting George Clooney was seen in an episode of Season 5 of Fear Factor in the U.S. with her then boyfriend Dan Randolph.

Thunderbirds’ Brains encourages smart hydration with Britvic’s new advert for Drench
Interview with Executive Creative Director and Writer Ewan Paterson
When thinking up the concept for an ad to promote a bottled water drink, you might wonder, what’s the best way to go? Someone drinking some water? An overflowing water fountain? A mighty waterfall? Indeed, a puppet from a ridiculously famous 1960s television show dancing to a pumping early nineties dance tune set against a back drop that bears a remarkable resemblance to a scene from the 1952 musical Singing in the Rain is perhaps not the first thing that springs to mind. However, advertising agency CHI & Partners certainly had an inspired vision when asked to advertise Britvic’s new bottled water product, Drench – and what a unique vision it was.
With summer coming in fits and starts and bottled water simply a must-have item when travelling around, it looks like now is the perfect time to hit the market with a promotion that will become fixed in people’s minds. Executive Creative Director and Writer, Ewan Paterson, speaks to OnTheBox about how the advert came to be, what Brains was really like to work with and how the Drench brand is whipping up a storm among the online community.
OnTheBox: How exactly did the Thunderbirds’ character work his way into the ad concept for Drench?! Was it a long process or something that someone came up with quite spontaneously?
Ewan Paterson: Pretty well instantly (last year we used a real brain, this year the next most famous version).
OTB: Aha, it’s all got that bit more conceptual then? Considering that the product being advertised is bottled water and Brains is a puppet, a group not generally renowned for their hydration needs, do you think he is an appropriate ambassador for Drench?
EP: We’re very happy with Brains’ commitment to the job as a spokes-puppet. In many ways, he needs hydrating even more than us humans…
OTB: …I see. But obviously, you could have gone for a run-of-the-mill beautiful woman in pool sipping/drenching herself in Drench. What were your motivations to go for something a little more quirky?
EP: In answer to rule 1 of advertising: to get noticed. And Drench is all about smart hydration so it just made sense!
OTB: Rhythm is a Dancer. Snap! 1992. Explain please.
EP: We felt the time was right to bring back early 90s dance and get people performing at their best. It’s a song we all secretly love and something you wouldn’t expect Brains to dance to.
OTB: Speaking of which, the choreography all seems fairly complicated for your average marionette – did Brains pick it up easily?
EP: He started off a little stiff but ended up being a natural (He’s clever remember, particularly after a little Drench).
OTB: Clever and cool – impressive. Are you pleased with the way the advert turned out?
EP: Yes – we’re pleased that people really seem to be enjoying it and are drinking Drench. There’s some great feedback on YouTube and Facebook from the public.
OTB: Indeed, there are already four groups celebrating the advert on Facebook! It looks like you are enthusiastic about using the internet to create a buzz about the product. Your website gives users the chance not only to watch the ad, but also to see the making of it and even play a game to test your alertness! What kind of role does the internet play in Britvic’s marketing campaign?
EP: A major part – it allows the public to experience and interact with Drench and the whole area of smart hydration in a fun way and in more depth than with a TV campaign. You can also see how we got Brains to perform so well in the making of film.
OTB: So would you say that you are you hoping to achieve more coverage via the internet rather than television broadcasting?
EP: It’s important that they both work – people need to see and enjoy the television spots to encourage them to share it with friends on internet… ■

Niamh’s Nancy Dream is Over
One young singer’s dream of appearing as Nancy in the new West End production of Oliver! were dashed on Saturday night. 17-year-old Niamh was the eighth hopeful to leave BBC One’s I’d Do Anything after a public vote on her performance of No Doubt’s hit ‘Don’t Speak’.
Rachel and Niamh were the least popular Nancys and Andrew Lloyd Webber decided to save Rachel. All five contestants performed contemporary songs they’d chosen themselves to prove they had the charisma and technical ability to take on one of musical theatre’s most challenging roles.
Denise van Outen said that Niamh’s performance “lacked punch tonight. It was more like a teenager having a tantrum than a West End leading lady. I do worry because you look so young, Niamh, and therefore have more to prove. And I haven’t seen it and I’m now questioning whether you are more suited to the role of Bette, Nancy’s best friend, than the role of Nancy.”
Fellow judge Barry said “That was certainly gritty that I think that’s what you were aiming for there is just one problem that I see and it’s not your fault. The star of the show is not Fagin, it’s not Nancy, but Oliver Twist and a group of small boys. The fact of the matter is a question of scale you are a comparatively small person so these boys are going to look like giants clustering around you. I see that as a serious technical problem.”
After the final verdict was given, Niamh said “I’m absolutely gutted to be leaving the competition but I’ve had the most amazing two months of my whole life.”
Jessie, Jodie, Rachel and Samantha will go on to next week’s semi final as the battle goes to win this life-changing role.
