Big Brother Day 43: Luke’s Birthday Bash

luke.jpgLuke received a French-themed birthday party last night.

Big Brother ordered Head of House Darnell to pick one person from the Hell side of the house and two from the heavenly side to join Luke at his 21st birthday celebration.

Darnell picked Luke’s best pal Rebecca, Dale and then made the controversial decision to allow himself to attend the bash.

He said “I never pick myself for anything, I’m not that guy. But Luke would have wanted me there more than anyone else.”

Big Brother converted a room into a wine cellar for the event, and the quartet were given berets and moustaches to wear - in honour of this week’s Viva La France shopping task - and bread, cheese, beer, wine and cloudy lemonade.

The group also tucked into birthday cake, which Luke made with his fellow Hell inhabitants - Lisa, Belinda, Stuart, Sara, Mikey and Bex - earlier in the day.

Chat at the birthday party quickly took a saucy turn, with Dale telling the group he could never date a girl who “talked filth” because he wouldn’t be able to “just take her to the park to feed the swans”.

He then offended exhibitionist Bex by suggesting she was exactly the kind of girl he was talking about.

Later, the group went to the Diary Room to thank Big Brother.

Luke said “I’ve had a really good day. I was quite upset I had to make my own birthday cake - I thought that was my present, which was actually appalling and almost depressing. But you’ve given the non-drinker the wine cellar to go to, which is interesting, and I’ve had a good night with these three bar Rebecca. I’ve really enjoyed it.”

The housemates have failed the Viva La France shopping task.

Although the group passed the mime and cycling ‘Big Brother’ challenges, they failed the wine-tasting and food tests meaning they will have to survive on a basic shopping budget of just £1 per person per head this week.

Mikey said “I’m shaking with that result. I’m absolutely livid.”

He was particularly upset as he had taken part in the cycling challenge with the rest of the Hell housemates - Lisa, Luke, Belinda, Sara, Stuart and Rebecca - which saw them peddle a combined distance of 1040km in just 30 hours.

Luke said he was “raging” at the news.

He added “Another week on the basic budget is going to kill me! I’m losing weight at a rapid pace.”

The contestants also moaned Head of House Darnell - who was tasked with picking challenge for people - had chosen badly.

His decision to give Rex and Kathreya the food test - which saw them have to eat a 5ft baguette stuffed with grapes and cheese in 30 minutes - came in for particular criticism.

Mikey said “Mohamed was wanting to eat that baguette.”

Big Brother Day 41: Big Brother Get Mad at Sleepy HM’s

Big Brother has reprimanded the housemates for sleeping during the day.

Head of House Darnell - who was elected to the position by the rest of the contestants at the weekend - was called to the Diary Room this afternoon (3.53pm) where Big Brother told him he had to stop the rest of the group napping.

Darnell said to Lisa “They’re through with people falling asleep. Period.”

He then explained Big Brother had “named and shamed” the people who kept trying to snatch 40 winks.

After some gentle nudging by the rest of the house, Darnell revealed Big Brother had specifically mentioned Dale.

He then went to wake the trainee teacher up, only for Dale to claim he wasn’t sleeping he just “had his eyes shut”.

Mohamed also fell foul of Darnell when he tried to rest in the garden.

Spotting what was happening, Darnell exclaimed “It doesn’t matter about you’re reasons we’re not allowed to nap. No napping!”

Rebecca moaned about the French shopping task this afternoon (4.21pm).

Busty Bex - along with her fellow hellish Big Brother housemates Belinda, Luke, Lisa, Stuart, Sara and Mikey - is taking part in the Tour De Grand Frere, where the group have to cycle 1,000km on static bikes in just 30 hours.

After completing a stint on the bike, moaning Bex complained “I feel bruised.”

Belinda was equally as negative about the challenge, moaning “I hate it, I hate it, it’s horrible.”

The pair have also complained about the equipment they are using, with both of them claiming they are too short for the bikes and can’t reach the peddles properly.

Bex was so outraged by the challenge she went to talk to Big Brother, but he had little sympathy for her.

Emerging for the Diary Room, a furious Bex claimed Big Brother had told her “no pain no gain” when she explained she was too small for the bike.

However, fitness fanatic Lisa is determined to pass the task and has been trying to raise her team’s spirits.

As Belinda struggled to move the peddles at all because the gears were set too high, Lisa shouted encouragingly “Keep going, you’re doing brilliant!”

Big Brother Day 41: Costumes Cause A Stir

big-brother-logo.gifThe Big Brother housemates received their costumes for the French-themed shopping task this afternoon (1.35pm).

For the challenge, the people living in the Hell side of the house - Belinda, Rebecca, Lisa, Luke, Sara, Stuart and Mikey - have 30 hours to cycle over 1,000km.

The group must wear lycra outfits and cycling helmets.

Luke and Bex were both unimpressed by the costumes, with Luke moaning his was “chaffing” his legs and Bex complaining her top smelt.

Kathreya - who is completing a food related challenge alongside Rex - was much happier with her outfit.

Decked out in a beret with a string of onions around her neck, she termed the outfit “cool”.

Rachel - who will be learning the art of mime with Maysoon - was given a black and white striped top to wear, much to the annoyance of Bex.

The busty nursery nurse exclaimed “Look at the mime costumes!”

Mohamed - who will be completing a wine tasting task with Dale - received a beret, a red jacket a neck scarf and a fake moustache.

Head of House Darnell - who had to place each of the heavenly housemates in the task he thought they were most suited to as part of his role as leader - must wear a French policeman’s uniform.

Originally, he picked Maysoon to complete the wine tasking even though she cannot drink alcohol. She has been allowed to swap positions with Dale.

Explaining his choice, Darnell said “All I had to go on was, ‘two housemates will be tested on the sensitivity of their palates.’ ”

The Hell housemates think they will fail this week’s shopping task.

The group - Lisa, Belinda, Stuart, Luke, Rebecca, Mikey and Sara - have 30 hours to cycle 1,040km, but they are concerned the challenge is too tough for them to compete.

As first the team were excited about it, especially when they saw the newly decorated task room (2.38pm).

Sara exclaimed “This is so cool!”

Lisa joked “You won’t be saying that in the early hours of the morning.”

Fitness-mad Lisa and Stuart were the first to take to the bikes, but even they admitted the going was tough.

When Luke told Stuart he had only completed one mile, Stuart replied “This is hard guys.”

Belinda was equally as concerned as she watched the pair cycling, saying “I can’t go that fast, no way.”

Bex was next up, but soon started complaining the seat of the bike was too high so she couldn’t peddle properly.

Tired of her team’s negativity, Lisa said they might as well “give up now” if everyone was going to be so defeatist.

Big Brother Day 41: HM’s Go Continental

luke.jpgThe housemates have been set a French-themed shopping task.

The contestants - who are currently split into two groups, with those on the Hell side of the house being forced to serve those on the Heaven side - were told to gather in the living room this afternoon (1pm) while Head of House Darnell went to the Diary Room to receive the challenge instructions from Big Brother.

Upon his return, Darnell said to the Hell housemates “You guys got it pretty tough.”

He explained there are four tasks split between the two sides. The heavenly housemates have to master the art of mime, taste wine and learn to appreciate French food.

In contrast, those in Hell have 30 hours in which to cycle 1,040km, the equivalent distance of Paris to Madrid.

Darnell picked Kathreya and Rex for the food task, Rachel and Dale to learn mime and Maysoon and Mohamed to try wine tasting.

However, the contestants immediately started to worry they had already failed as Maysoon does not drink.

Darnell said he would ask Big Brother if he could swap Maysoon and Dale around, but he was cut off by the announcement that the task room was open.

Earlier, the Hell housemates speculated the task would have a French theme after they were woken by French music.

The alarm - which always relates to the shopping task on Tuesdays - caused great confusion until Belinda identified the song, saying “It’s Edith Piaf. She’s French. French revolution? Singing maybe?”

When the housemates in Heaven woke up, chef Rex became convinced the task would be food related.

He said “That song is the soundtrack to the film ‘Chocolat’ and that film is all about food. If it’s a food task, I’m running it.”

Lisa “prayed” for ill ‘Big Brother’ housemate Luke last night.

Former body builder Lisa made the admission during a conversation with Luke and Rebecca this morning, during which bed-ridden Luke claimed he was starting to feel better.

Lisa said:”I was praying for you last night.”

A surprised Luke replied “Was you? It’s worked because I’m feeling 70… no, probably 80 per cent better.”

A relieved Lisa replied “Super. Your face looks normal again.”

Rebecca chimed in “I don’t think his face looks normal.”

Luke agreed, saying:”My eyes are still puffy and the bags are really bad.”

He also claimed he took 12 pills yesterday to ensure he was better in time for his 21st birthday tomorrow.

Clearly aware the suit-loving student was suffering, Big Brother gave him permission to cross the divide - which splits the house into Heaven and Hell, with those of the Hell side being forced to serve the heavenly housemates and bathe in cold water - so he could have a warm shower.

Chatting about the contestants living in Heaven, Luke said “It’ll bug them so much to know I’ve been in Heaven.”

Big Brother Day 41: HM’s Get In Food Fight

BexThe housemates took part in a massive food fight last night.

Contestants on the Heaven side of the Big Brother house - which has been split into Heaven and Hell this week, with those on the Hell side tasked with serving the others - started the fight by throwing bombs made of toothpaste and water at Hell housemate Stuart.

Stuart told fellow Hell inhabitant Rebecca about his plight and the pair decided to retaliate when the others let their guard down.

Bex pretended she was annoyed with the heavenly housemates - who she labelled “f***ing t***s” - in an attempt to cover the plan.

Later, Stuart and Bex sneaked up to the luxury bedroom and pelted a surprised Dale, Darnell and Mohamed with toothpaste bombs.

Dale laughed “You little s***s!”

Darnell described the attack as an “ambush”, while Mohamed managed to hit the pair with a bomb.

The fight soon moved into the living room, where Belinda decided to help out the Hell housemates.

Water, lentils, toothpaste, fish and flour were all thrown across the room and the fight only ended when Head of House Darnell was summoned to the Diary Room.

Upon his return, Darnell announced: “They said the s**t is not funny. They’ll look past it, but we have to clean up. If it happens again it’ll be serious consequences. They said it’s against the law to damage someone’s property.

“She wasn’t nice about it. It was just the tone of her voice. You know how they talk in riddles? She was straight up. They aren’t playing.”

Rex is desperate to stay in the Big Brother house.

The smug chef - who is rumoured to be up for eviction alongside Belinda this week - made the admission last night, after claiming he was starting to enjoy life in the house.

The news surprised the other contestants because Rex has continually moaned about how boring he finds the house and has threatened to walk out several times.

Chatting to Rachel, Kathreya , Darnell, Mohamed and Dale he said “I’d really like to stay now, I’ve had fun tonight.”

Rachel said she was pleased Rex wanted to stay even though she found him “annoying as hell”, while bubbly Kat added she was happy for Rex’ fans.

In another conversation last night, Rex told Sara he thought the ‘Big Brother’ experience was like rehab and claimed he had “found himself” in the house.

He said “I’ve thought about loads of different things. I’ve had a lot of time to think in here.”

Meanwhile, Belinda gossiped about some of the other contestants to Lisa.

She said “I struggle with Rachel. I don’t know what’s she’s about.”

The flamboyant theatre director also claimed Kat was “too smiley” and hinted she thought Sara was untrustworthy.

She added “I think Darnell’s interesting. I’m not sure if he’s honourable.”

Big Brother Day 41: Rex and Belinda Nominated

belinda.jpegBelinda and Rex are reportedly up for eviction this week.

The flamboyant theatre director and executive chef will face the public vote after racking up the most nominations from their fellow Big Brother housemates.

Belinda - who entered the house with Sara and Maysoon just over a week ago - has incurred the group’s wrath with her constant snoring, which the contestants claim keeps them awake.

Her outgoing nature and penchant for singing has also caused some members of the house to suspect she is an actress planted by Big Brother.

Rex - who has faced the public vote before - has been criticised for his boring chatter, including constant tales of his restaurants and flashy lifestyle.

He has also been accused of trying to instigate rows within the house, most notably when he smudged ex-housemate Jennifer’s painting.

The infamous argument which followed resulted in Dennis being removed for spitting in Mohamed’s face.

A show insider said “It’s The Snore versus The Bore - and it’s going to be an exciting fight. Belinda has only been in the house just over a week and she hasn’t really done anything so it looks like curtains for her.

“But fans tend to like Rex because he speaks his mind and winds people up.”

The heavenly housemates were given fish and chips last night.

The contestants in Hell - Belinda, Lisa, Luke, Rebecca, Sara, Stuart and Mikey - were particularly annoyed about the treat because Lisa had just prepared a meal of chicken nuggets, potatoes and rice, which those in Heaven had eaten.

The Hell housemates - who must serve those in Heaven by preparing all their meals - were also upset because the house is currently surviving on a basic shopping budget of just £1 per person per day after failing last week’s shopping task.

Bex vented her anger by insisting they couldn’t use tomato ketchup, adding “You just had tea when you knew you were getting a takeaway! We could have had more chicken nuggets.”

Luke also complained, pointing out Darnell - who was elected leader of the house last week and picked those who entered Heaven - was Head of House not Head of Luxury.

Darnell did not help the mood in the house when he claimed the treat was a reward for the potato-peeling task the Hell housemates completed earlier in the day.

Lisa muttered “Go on, rub it in.”

A furious Mikey said Darnell had hardly spoken a word without food in his mouth recently.

He added “And Mo said he didn’t have room for tea, but he’s got plenty of room for that fish supper.”

Big Brother Day 40: HM’s Annoyed with Rex

luke.jpgMikey and Luke moaned about Rex today (1.40pm).

The pair began their gossip session when Mikey - who is taking part in the potato peeling task with the rest of the Big Brother housemates who are living in Hell - went to visit bedridden Luke, who is exempt from the task because he is ill.

Furious at the lack of food in the house, Mikey said “I said it last night and I’ll say it again. The guy has not got a clue when it comes to basic budgets in this house. He might have loads of restaurants but that’s not what we need in this place. We are eating absolutely sod all again.”

Despite feeling poorly, Luke couldn’t resist having a moan “I’m actually literally trying to sit here and rack my brain over what exactly we have bought and what we’ve ate. And why we’re back on rice and chickpeas today is beyond me.”

He then added “And why the hell did we buy chicken nuggets?”

A furious Mikey agreed, saying “I don’t know! I’m raging about the chicken nuggets! I didn’t want the chicken nuggets at the time! I didn’t want hamburgers! Where’s all the peanut butter? Where’s the chocolate? Where are the boxes of cereals?”

The pair then turned their attention to the luxury tokens Rex added to the list.

Mikey fumed “Five luxury tokens! Folk walking about with silly hats because he thought he would get alcohol!”

Lisa irritated some of the heavenly housemates today (2pm).

The former body builder is currently living in the Hell portion of the house - after Head of House Darnell chose Dale, Rex, Mohamed, Maysoon, Kathreya and Rachel to live in Heaven with him at the weekend - and has taken on most of the cooking responsibilities.

The Hell housemates must prepare all food for those in Heaven, but Lisa’s meals have so far failed to impress.

Lisa made lunch for the group today, but muscley Dale was quick to criticise her efforts.

Chatting to Rex he said Lisa had lied to him about the food because she said there would be lentils in the rice but there weren’t any.

Rex claimed she had changed since her partner Mario was evicted on Friday and a furious Dale agreed, before adding he thought she spoke “rubbish”.

Mild-mannered Rachel was also disappointed by the food, but chose to thank Lisa for cooking it before questioning why there were no lentils in it.

Big Brother Day 40: Bex Ponders Eviction

rebecca.jpgBex thinks there will be a surprise eviction tonight.

The busty nursery nurse became convinced one of the Big Brother housemates would be heading home after she heard noises similar to those the contestants hear on Fridays when the eviction stage is being set up.

She told hunky Stuart she had heard “barriers being scrapped” while she was in the garden.

Referring to the divide in the house - which sees one group of contestants living in Heaven and one in Hell - she added “One of us is going tonight. One of us from Hell is going.”

Bex also relayed the news to Luke and Lisa, who weren’t convinced.

Lisa commented “It’s too exciting, them splitting the house up. They’re not going to get rid of someone already.”

Luke agreed, adding anyone who had voted for Bex to stay last week - when she was up for eviction along with Mario - would be “outraged” if she left today.

However, Bex couldn’t be swayed and later told Belinda she had heard the “exact noise” the group hear every Friday.

The housemates in Hell were told they must earn the right to nominate this morning (11.36am).

Head of the Big Brother house Darnell - who is living in the Heaven portion of the house along with Rex, Maysoon, Kathreya, Rachel, Mohamed and Dale while the rest reside in Hell - was called to the Diary Room and emerged clutching a set of instructions from Big Brother.

Seeing how excited Dale was he motioned towards the group living in Hell and muttered “It’s not for none of us. It’s only for them.”

As the housemates all listened attentively, Darnell explained those on the Hell side of the house would only be allowed to nominate this week if they peeled all the potatoes waiting for them in the garden.

Former bouncer Lisa - who is among those living in Hell - burst into applause at the news.

The contestants in Hell made their way into the garden, where they were confronted by a mountain of spuds.

As the peeling commenced, some of the heavenly housemates decided to spur the others on.

As Rex tried to encourage them, Rebecca snapped “Yeah, that’s it, come and laugh.”

Mikey was also less than impressed, saying “Rex, we’re doing the task, not you. This doesn’t really involve you.”

Irritated Bex added:”Bye! Can you not stand there please? You go and drink your luxury water. We’ll sit and peel potatoes to get the right to nominate. My arm hurts already.”

Rex walked to the smoking area, put his feet up and declared “Oh, it’s a hard life over here. Mo, are you gonna go for a swim?”

Big Brother Day 40: Cake Brings Trouble

Rex

The heavenly housemates gossiped about Luke and Rebecca last night.

Chef Rex - who is living on the Heaven side of the Big Brother house alongside Dale, Mohamed, Darnell, Kathreya, Rachel and Maysoon - started the discussion by quizzing model Maysoon about the duo.

While Rex usually sleeps in the basic bedroom, Maysoon sleeps in the luxury one alongside the amorous pair - who shared a passionate kiss last week - so Rex was keen to pump her for information.

He said “What’s it like sleeping with them two in there? Funny?”

Not giving quite the answer Rex had hoped for, Maysoon replied “Rebecca’s always falling off the bed.”

Determined to get all the gory details, Rex asked “Why?”

Maysoon responded “I don’t know. I don’t know what her and Luke are doing.”

Cheeky Rex queried “Is she too cylindrical?”

Sensible Maysoon said “No, I think her and Luke - I don’t know what they get up to, but she’s usually screaming and then she falls off.”

Bored with the gossiping, Dale turned the conversation to the upcoming nominations.

He said “What does everybody think about tomorrow? Normal or…?”

Rex said “No, I reckon it’ll be split, so you have to decide someone from here and someone from there.”

Dale, who had clearly spent some time pondering the possibilities, replied “I hope that it’ll be two from each side, and two people go. We’ve got to pick two people from Hell, and the people from Hell have to pick two people from Heaven.”

Rebecca and Dale argued about cake last night.

While the housemates on the Heaven side of the Big Brother house - Dale, Rex, Darnell, Mohamed, Maysoon, Kathreya and Rachel - enjoyed a party complete with a mountain of food and alcohol, those on the Hell side had to make do with basic rations.

In an attempt to cheer up the rest of the group in Hell, Lisa decided to bake a cake.

Dale spotted the former body builder taking the cake out of the oven and asked if he could have a piece even though he had just enjoyed the angel-themed celebratory bash, much to the annoyance of Bex.

When Dale asked if he could have some of the treat, Bex snapped “No you’re getting nothing. Look at all that food you’ve got there!”

Dale replied “Sharing is caring.”

As Lisa offered hunky Dale some cake, an irate Luke waded into the row.

He said “You’re joking Dale, you’ve got all that food.”

Dale proceeded to anger Bex further by telling her not to be selfish.

Furious, Bex screamed “They’re not having any, I’ll put it on the floor. It’s f***ing out of order!”

However, once the housemates in Hell sampled Lisa’s attempt at baking they soon quietened down.

After nibbling the cake, Luke said “I’m no food critic but that’s atrocious.”

Big Brother Day 40: BB House Hell

darnell.jpgThe Big Brother house was split into Heaven and Hell yesterday.

The contestants were informed they would be splitting in two during a special presidential banquet, where it was announced Darnell had been elected Head of House following his election battle with Dale and Luke.

After being told by Big Brother that “with great power comes great responsibility”, Darnell was tasked with picking six housemates to join him on the Heaven side of the house.

He chose Dale, Rex, Mohamed, Kathreya, Rachel and Maysoon.

Reading instructions from Big Brother, Rex announced only the heavenly housemates were allowed access to the luxury bedroom while only those residing in Hell were able to enter the kitchen.

He read “Housemates from Hell prepare all meals and drinks, other than water, for the house as a whole. Any attempts to cross the divide will be punished severely.”

Lisa promised to take care of her side of the house, saying they would be “spoilt”.

A belligerent Rebecca added “We’re got the best group anyway!”

However, Mikey was not so optimistic about the twist.

As the group emerged from the meal to discover the house had been split in two using a plastic divide, he commented “Well, we all know who Darnell’s friends are now don’t we?”

The Heaven housemates were more excited, with Darnell in raptures when he noticed they had cold, filtered tap water to drink.

Rex was less impressed, saying “It would be better if it was a beer tap.”

The heavenly housemates were treated to a party last night.

After forcing Head of House Darnell to split the contestants into two groups - one which would live on the Heaven side of the house and one which would reside in Hell - earlier yesterday, Big Brother later told him those in Heaven would be receiving a special celebration.

Darnell was ecstatic when he was informed his group - Rex, Mohamed, Dale, Kathreya, Rachel and Maysoon - would be receiving angel outfits, party food and alcohol, especially as the contestants have been surviving on a basic budget of just £1 per person per day having failed last week’s shopping task.

Those living in Hell were forced to look on in envy as their housemates enjoyed the soiree.

As Darnell ran to tell those in heaven about the party, Luke - who is living in Hell - lay on his bed and said: “Shut the door Mikey, I don’t want to be associated with those angels.”

Mikey replied “I just knew Darnell would do that, I knew he would choose them, his cronies. All we’ve done is swap bedrooms.”

Rebecca joined in the moan, saying “Well I hope they have fun with those boring people. If I’m not in Heaven next week then I’m going to go mad.”

Later, while watching those in Heaven tucking into prawns, sushi, chicken wings and sandwiches, Luke muttered “Don’t choke on your sushi. You won’t believe the hate I’m feeling right now.”
